APC Professional Programme Overview
The Institute is in the process of developing an APC Professional Programme, which will be submitted for accreditation by SAICA. This programme is designed to prepare candidates for success in the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) exam. The programme’s development is driven by the high failure rates observed among exam candidates, particularly African and Coloured candidates and those from public sector training offices.

• Providing an alternative professional programme that is responsive to the diverse needs of candidates, avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach to competency development.
- Submission and Review:
- The Institute is preparing to submit the application for accreditation to SAICA.
- The accreditation process is expected to be completed in 2025, with the commencement of the programme offering scheduled for 2026.
- Tailored Approach:
- The APC Professional Programmeme will be tailored to address the specific challenges and needs of African and Coloured candidates and those from public sector training offices.
